In two parts, the work is arranged like a stratified skin breathing in parallel: two contiguous panels, separated by a vertical join, repeat the same pattern of folded horizontal bands. The sequence descends with restrained regularity, yet each strip introduces slight variations of curvature and edge, so that the rhythm never becomes mechanical. At the top, an ochre accent, almost linear, appears like a mineral trace that tempers the overall coolness.

The palette concentrates on off-whites, ash greys and very pale earthy nuances. Light is activated more by relief than by contrast: it settles on the raised edges, dims in the grooves and produces a fine, continuous shadow that functions as a “seam” between strata. This discreet interplay turns the surface into a facing, close to a minimal architecture.

In detail, the pictorial skin reveals a porous granulation, with a dense speckling that recalls lime deposits and dry sedimentations. The profile confirms its object-like condition: the flaps lift away from the plane with a sustained thickness, creating a relief that changes with lateral incidence and the viewer’s movement.
