Lime Seams

On a vertical format, the surface is constructed like a facing of pale pieces arranged in a contained grid, organised into three horizontal registers. The geometric order is traversed by slight deviations: junctions that do not quite fit, edges that bow, and a central seam that wavers, introducing an organic breathing into the modular system.
The palette remains in off-whites and chalky greys, with earthy sediments appearing along the edges and in some areas of wear. A dark spatter, fine and widely dispersed, activates the plane like a mineral porosity: it concentrates density in certain modules and lightens in others, generating a gentle optical depth without resorting to perspective.
Between the plates, the vertical joints open narrow fissures where a matte yellow surfaces—more seepage than accent. That colour behaves like light held in the crack, underscoring the verticality and marking the rhythm without imposing itself.
The profile confirms the construction through folds: each module separates slightly from the ground, catching illumination along the edges and casting the finest shadows. The matter, matte and tactile, renders visible a work of layers and drying times, where the relief acts as a memory of assembly and erosion.
