A narrow vertical format supports four stacked fields, like fragments of wall cut out and reassembled with an almost liturgical discipline. The composition is organised into horizontal strata of whitish-grey tonality, separated by earthen, granular lines that act as joints, sedimenting time at each transition.

Along the central axis, a pale seam runs through the work from top to bottom: it does not divide, but sutures. That slightly irregular trace introduces a minimal vibration and humanises the structure, as if the support retained the memory of a fold or the pressure of a previous assembly. The edges of each band appear slightly broken, with an organic profile that avoids the perfect straight line and keeps the surface in a contained tension.

Light is produced through the accumulation of glazes and through the porous, speckled texture that catches the white and renders it matte. In the joints, the earthen pigment gathers in small particles, generating a dark stippling that deepens the relief without drama. Seen in profile, the piece confirms its materiality: superimposed layers and barely perceptible lifted edges create fine shadows, turning the plane into a silent volume.
